Collaboration Challenges. Collaboration Challenges are extended work sessions in which Delegates intensively share missions and common issues around a central question or theme. Topics explore effective multi-dimensional poverty-alleviation strategies. Each 2.5 hour session follows a common format that is designed to elicit a genuine search for collaborative solutions and spark cross-sector insights and partnerships.

For more information about Challenges and key discussion contributors, see the Resource Library. To suggest a topic or nominate a contributor, contact Topher Wilkins, Chief Operating Officer, Opportunity Collaboration (email: twilkins@opportunitycollaboration.net).

Conversational Cluster-Forks. Conversational Cluster-Forks are mealtime discussions exploring a Delegate's focused topic of interest. Topics cover a wide range of policy, geographic, organizational, entrepreneurial and poverty-related themes, allowing Delegates to showcase their ideas, organizations and expertise.

For more information about Cluster-Forks topic and discussion leaders, see the Resource Library. To suggest a topic or present a Cluster-Fork, contact Katie Drasser, Director, Policy Dialogues, Opportunity Collaboration (email: katiedrasser@gmail.com).

Colloquium for the Common Good. The Colloquium for the Common Good is the Opportunity Collaboration’s signature seminar on executive leadership, economic justice and the good society. The Colloquium addresses the transcendent principles that drive poverty alleviation and asks Delegates to think realistically about the nature of economic justice and the good society.

All Delegates participate in this core curriculum via small groups, creating a common experiential bond and shared set of learnings. Before the event, Delegates receive a USB memory stick with about 50 pages of “homework” readings. If available for website posting, some readings are also available at the Resource Library.

For more information about the Colloquium for the Common Good and a listing of moderators, see the Resource Library.

Connections & Corridors. Connections & Corridors is the Opportunity Collaboration’s networking “concierge” service. In advance of the event, Delegates are interviewed about their hoped-for outcomes, work agenda and institutional mission. Delegates are then offered personalized email introductions and customized suggestions for on-site, individual networking meetings. This powerful high-touch engagement maximizes the utility of the Opportunity Collaboration by facilitating purposeful, meaningful introductions and provides overall advice and guidance so that each Delegate has the richest possible experience.

For more information about Connections & Corridors , see the Resource Library.

Collaboration Network News (CNN). Collaboration Network News (CNN) is broadcast 24/7 via television into every Delegate’s room during the Opportunity Collaboration. All Delegates are invited to include short, 3-5 minute video clips about their organization, mission and work. Submission Deadline: August 31, 2010. To submit your video, contact Ken Widmann, Director, Communications, Opportunity Collaboration (email: kenwidmann@gmail.com).

To summit your video for Delegate viewing on Collaboration Network News, see the Resource Library.

Book Discussions. Delegates are invited to lead an informal discussion examining a favorite book on any relevant topic. Small group book conversations are held in the evening in comfortable, quiet seating areas throughout the leadership village. To reserve a book club discussion site, contact Topher Wilkins, Chief Operating Officer, Opportunity Collaboration (email: twilkins@opportunitycollaboration.net).

Collaboraton Library. Centrally located near Delegate mailboxes and the Internet café, the Collaboration Library is a display hub for educational and organizational literature supplied by Delegates. While respecting the environment and a 300 Delegate audience, Delegates may display whatever materials they would like. Advance shipping is not possible, so Delegates are advised to bring materials with them.
